One month's free cover @ protectyourbubble.com

Of all the iPhone insurers out there, Protect Your Bubble is definitely one of the most prominent. There aren’t many gadget insurance companies which have their adverts on television but these guys do. I’ve also seen them pop up at places like The Gadget Show exhibition, with Squeak, the careless gadget-loving mouse.

Of course Protect Your Bubble’s iPhone insurance is a great product and it scored really well when we compared it against all the other policies available in the UK. Whenever we get reviews and feedback from customers, it’s always nearly always positive. So no wonder they keep proudly showing their faces everywhere.

Here’s a little of what’s on offer:

  • Cover from £5.99 per month
  • Cover for theft & damage, including water/liquid damage
  • Cover for breakdown
  • Loss cover available for an additional £1 per month
  • 60 days worldwide cover
  • One month’s free cover
  • Free data back up
  • Replacement iPhone within 48 hours
  • Extended warranty (breakdown cover)
  • £1 from every policy goes to charity

So that’s the product itself. All in all, it’s a very well-rounded product. You can get cover for everything you need – theft, damage and if you want to add it on, loss. The 60 days worldwide travel cover is a big bonus if you have any adventures planned as this provides you with the same cover abroad as you get at home – ideal for backpackers, travel lovers and globe trotters.

FAQS

  1. How much excess will I need to pay?

There is a standard £50 excess charge with an additional £25 for loss claims. Protect Your Bubble pay any additional costs after that, providing your claim has been approved.

  2. How do I make a claim?

You will need to contact the customer service team at Protect Your Bubble for a claims form. If stolen you will need to contact the police to submit a report and obtain a crime reference number, or a lost property reference number if lost.

You should also contact your network provider to report the loss and blacklist the phone.

  3. Do I need to supply a receipt

You do not need a receipt to take out cover, however you will require this if you are making a claim.

  4. Can I insure a phone if I bought it form Ebay?

Phones bought from online auction sites such as Ebay can be insured, however you will need to prove that the phone was purchased from a VAT-registered Ebay shop and not from an individual (sole trader).
